Is There Really An Acne Cure?

You've probably suffered from acne at one point or another, and more often than not, an outbreak has occurred just in time for a major event in your life. Everyone who has ever had a breakout at precisely the wrong time, or just lived with the teasing and torment of classmates over recurring acne, has sought an acne cure; but is there really a such thing?

Acne Cure: Fact Or Fiction?

Truth be told there is not an acne cure that has yet been offered up to the general public and it doesn’t appear to be one anywhere around the next corner either because acne is caused by various things such as stress, hormones, diet, pregnancy and yes even the soap you use.

To find an acne cure would be difficult because acne is an individual problem but there are ways to treat acne and help keep it under some kind of control. As everyone knows cleansing your skin is important but did you know that using chemicals that are too harsh or too oily can actually cause you to have more breakouts? Use a mild soap that does not contain oils that will clog your pores; clogged pores cause acne.

If you use a moisturizer check the ingredients, since they often can contain something to which your are either allergic, or, in some cases, they can make your acne worse. There are many products on the market that will help control your acne keep in mind none of these products are an acne cure but they can help keep your skin clean and healthy which will reduce your number of breakouts. You can also consult your doctor for various prescription options to help control your acne as well.

The only possible way to acheive a true acne cure is to diagnose the root cause of your particular case of acne. If you find that your acne is caused by an allergy then you will bring about an acne cure simply by eliminating the irritant from your diet, environment or whatever the allergic cause may be.

If your acne is hormonal your doctor may be able to offer you an acne cure in the form of something that may balance your hormones a bit better and keep acne from erupting. Remember unless there is a medical condition that is causing your acne there may not be an acne cure for you but it can be brought down to a tolerable, hardly noticeable level.

Always see your physician, and if you are pregnant you should understand that anything absorbed through your skin is absorbed into the blood stream and to your unborn baby. Never start acne treatment without understanding every potential risk to both yourself and your baby.
