The Effect Of Benzoyl Peroxide People who are suffering from skin aging on account of adult acne should beware of using benzoyl peroxide that is used as a cleansing agent. Benzoyl peroxide creates free radicals and its high concentration and frequent use make the skin age faster than before. More alarming is the finding that persistent use of benzoyl peroxide increases the risk of skin cancer. Due to these facts, the FDA has regarded the use of benzoyl peroxide as not completely safe.
